Purdy Lites

Video Art by Joey Dougherty

Arizona based video artist Joey Dougherty has spent the last 7 years working under the Purdy Lites moniker, crafting unique live visual productions and creating multi-media installations for audiences across the American southwest, California, and Mexico. Purdy Lites combines old-school video technology, classic analog lighting effects, ambitious installation design, and creative performance techniques: interactive large-scale CRT-TV + Monitor based video installations and live visual projections invite viewers and collaborators to become participants in the creative process, diving deep into the mesmerizing visual vortex of analog video feedback.
Purdy Lites is a former cast member of Eschaton, an immersive online theatre experience created by NYC-based Chorus Productions. He has several permanent installations along Roosevelt Row + Grand Avenue Arts Districts near his home in Phoenix.  His live visual performance and installation work has been displayed at FORM Arcosanti (AZ), Desert Daze music festival (CA), Meow Wolf (NM), and World of Light Gallery (LA).
